Nicki Minaj’s Lawyers Ask to Withdraw From $275,000 Lawsuit

Nicki Minaj’s legal team says a breakdown in communication and “irreconcilable differences” over its work have made the relationship untenable. The firm representing Minaj and Pink Friday Productions has asked a judge for permission to withdraw from a lawsuit over production expenses allegedly left unpaid.

Kurzman Eisenberg Corbin & Lever filed the request in the case brought by 24/7 Productions, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. The firm also reportedly said it had difficulty reaching Minaj to notify her. A process server visited her $10 million penthouse, where a concierge said the rapper was away but her husband was home. The concierge allegedly said the couple had a “tendency of not answering their phones.”

24/7 Productions claims it advanced more than $275,000 for services tied to Minaj’s “Pink Friday 2” album launch and December 2023 concerts, including planning, staffing, audio, lighting and transportation. The company says it expected reimbursement and alleges that efforts to collect over nearly two years brought little progress. It sued Minaj and Pink Friday Productions, seeking more than $275,000 in damages for alleged breach of contract and related claims. In March, it also alleged Pink Friday Productions received about $650,000 for Minaj’s Jingle Ball performances while the expenses remained outstanding.

Hotel bills became part of the dispute. In July 2026, 24/7 Productions submitted invoices for a seven-night stay at New York’s Langham, from December 6 to 13, 2023. The suite cost $9,500 per night, and the total bill was $103,730.11, including other rooms, dining, room service and minibar purchases. A separate Four Seasons stay in Fort Lauderdale reportedly added $25,197.85 for Minaj, security personnel and a stylist.

Minaj’s attorneys disputed the company’s presentation of those charges in an August 2026 filing, saying it used them to cast her as “a spoiled and entitled rap star” rather than describe hospitality costs they called common for events. Pink Friday Productions maintained that the expenses had been paid in full. Her lawyers also argued that the agreement was with the company, not Minaj personally, and that she should not be held individually liable.

Emails cited in the case reportedly show a member of Minaj’s team warning 24/7 Productions on November 29, 2023, that Republic Records’ $250,000 promotional allowance was “extremely low” and that costs would be at least double. The message cited $18,000 for photography and videography, $4,200 for tailoring and concerns that a $10,000 travel allowance would not cover flights. These claims remain part of the parties’ dispute.
