On a recent episode of The Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg Show, the actress discussed her ongoing health ordeal with plastic surgeon Dr. Terry Dubrow. While McCarthy has faced intense scrutiny regarding her choice to keep her implants despite severe, mold-related medical complications, she maintains that she is not yet prepared to remove them. She currently uses FDA-approved Motiva implants, which she noted provide a softer feel than traditional silicone. Dr. Dubrow clarified that her previous health struggles, which included recurring jawbone infections and eye growths, were not caused by the implants.
McCarthy’s medical journey began in late 2024 following an infected root canal, which spiraled into a series of nine surgeries in a single year. The infections became so persistent that she eventually retreated to living in a tent to manage extreme food sensitivities and environmental triggers associated with mycotoxin poisoning. Reflecting on her history with cosmetic procedures, she recalled a youthful experience at 19 where a surgeon disregarded her size preference, a narrative she shares to highlight the lack of bodily autonomy many women face in clinical settings. Although she remains committed to her current look for now, she acknowledged the possibility of a different perspective as she ages.
