The Elmira expansion marks a significant milestone for the Illinois-based chain, which has operated for over 65 years. The new facility integrates modern retail upgrades, including self-checkout and mobile payment options, while maintaining the brand's traditional focus on rural lifestyle goods. Susan Samuelson, Senior Vice President of Merchandising, noted that the move brings the company's signature value and service model to a new regional demographic.
During the grand opening event, which runs through September 27, the store will feature specialized promotions and a giveaway program for RK Rewards members. The inventory spans a diverse range of agricultural and home essentials, stocking major labels such as Carhartt, Stihl, and Ariat. Beyond retail, the company maintains active partnerships with youth groups like 4-H and FFA, alongside initiatives supporting veterans and first responders through the Gary Sinise Foundation.
