The transition toward specialized energy storage is driven by the widening gap between application requirements. Whether managing renewable energy bases, AI data centers, or green hydrogen production, each environment demands distinct stability, duration, and response capabilities. Sungrow contends that the industry’s reliance on product-led assembly—where standardized units are forced into diverse project configurations—often fails to deliver long-term operational efficiency.
To bridge this gap, the company introduced the S+ framework, centered on Scenario, Synergy, and Sustain. Instead of treating storage as a modular add-on, this strategy prioritizes native system integration from the design phase. By utilizing the S+ Dual-Engine Foundation, which combines a versatile product series with a unified platform for R&D and lifecycle maintenance, the company aims to replace temporary on-site tuning with a repeatable, high-performance architecture. Dr. Cai Zhuang, General Manager of the Product Business Center at Sungrow, noted that the model creates a cohesive chain of capabilities—from initial scenario insight to final performance maintenance—designed to turn storage installations into lasting assets.
