Founded three decades ago by Rob Gamlin, VoCoVo has evolved from a local startup into a dominant force in retail efficiency. The company’s hardware currently facilitates operations in 42,000 stores worldwide, bridging the gap between floor staff and support centers. This growth is bolstered by a network of value-added resellers and strategic partnerships that allow the firm to maintain its infrastructure across diverse international markets.
The recent push into large-scale retail is exemplified by the five-year agreement with Co-op. Following a successful pilot in 114 locations, the retailer began rolling out the S5 Pro Headsets in February. David Tyas, Head of Retail Support Centre & Innovation at Co-op, noted that the technology is intended to streamline everyday tasks and improve the shopping experience. Martin Smethurst, Chief Customer Officer at VoCoVo, emphasized that these tools are essential for convenience retailers to serve their communities effectively.
