Zac said he had asked Jen to stay and promised to work on the relationship, but they were unable to make it work. He described the divorce as painful and said he still loved his soon-to-be ex-wife. He also pointed to their young age when they married, having four children and taking part in reality television as factors that had made their relationship difficult.
Jen filed days before the premiere of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County,” and weeks after announcing she was pregnant with their fourth child, according to the source report. The couple met on a Mormon dating app in 2018, married in June 2019 and welcomed their first child in November 2021, PEOPLE reported. They have discussed marital problems on the Hulu reality show.
After the divorce filing, Jen posted TikTok videos showing Zac criticizing her body shortly after she gave birth. In one clip, he told her not to post a video because of how she looked and made disparaging remarks about her breasts. Zac later called his comments “horrific” and said they “should have never been said.” He added that he had said hurtful things but was trying to learn and grow.
A separate clip showed the couple arguing over clean towels. Jen said she had been doing his laundry and would have more time to help if he contributed more. The new Hulu series, which features Jen and other West Coast influencers, is scheduled to air November 12. Jen said the cast brings different personalities and friendships, along with “a little chaos.”
