Global Trade Leaders Convene at Fourth China Supply Chain Expo

More than 1,300 delegates from over 100 countries gathered in Beijing on June 22 for the Fourth China International Supply Chain Expo. Under the theme "Connecting the World for a Shared Future," the event aims to fortify industrial partnerships and encourage sustainable economic integration across global borders.

The opening ceremony featured high-level addresses from South African Deputy President Paul Mashatile and International Chamber of Commerce Secretary General John W.H. Denton AO. King Charles III sent a formal message of support, which was delivered by Sustainable Markets Initiative CEO Jennifer Jordan-Saifi. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, used the platform to advocate for deeper trade ties and the removal of barriers to international investment.

A central component of the proceedings was the release of the Beijing Initiative, a collaborative document signed by the CCPIT and various global business leaders. The expo showcases 676 companies and specialized enterprises across six primary sectors, including smart vehicles, clean energy, and digital technology. Australia holds the title of Guest Country of Honor, while France’s Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Italy’s Liguria regions serve as the inaugural international Guest Regions of Honor. The event is backed by five major international organizations, including the World Intellectual Property Organization and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, reinforcing its role as a hub for cross-border industrial cooperation.
