Jysk rolls out unified commerce platform across UK and Ireland stores

Danish home furnishings retailer Jysk has begun deploying its Enactor-powered unified commerce platform across its UK and Ireland store networks. The transition aims to replace legacy systems with a mobile-first infrastructure, with company leadership targeting a full rollout across both regions by the middle of November.

Patrick Gretsch, retail operations expert at Jysk, confirmed the initial transition phase is underway, noting that the changeover at the Sallynoggin store in Ireland occurred during standard business hours without disrupting customer service. The new platform introduces mobile point-of-sale capabilities, allowing staff to process transactions directly on the shop floor rather than at fixed registers.

Beyond internal process improvements, the system enables expanded fulfillment options for shoppers. Customers gain the ability to order products in-store for direct home delivery from warehouse inventory. This move reflects a broader strategic shift at Jysk to integrate digital and physical retail touchpoints, providing store teams with tools to facilitate more personalized customer interactions.
