Reporting directly to founder and CEO Jacob Nathan, Scott joins the firm following a high-profile expansion of its manufacturing assets. Epoch recently acquired a 52,000-tonne-per-year nylon 6,6 polymerisation plant in Blanes, Spain, which represents roughly 10% of Europe’s total production capacity. The company intends to restart conventional polymer production at the site later this month.
Beyond its Spanish operations, Epoch is currently constructing a demonstration facility at Imperial College London’s Grapht Works in North Acton. This site is slated to become the world’s largest nylon 6,6 biorecycling plant, designed to process hundreds of tonnes of post-consumer waste annually. Having secured over $50 million in funding from investors including Lululemon, Inditex’s Mundi Ventures, and Lowercarbon Capital, the company is now focusing on scaling its proprietary technology to meet commercial demand.
