GAC Expands European Footprint with AION UT Launch

The Copenhagen launch on September 17 marked the entry of the AION UT into the Scandinavian market, managed by Electric Way, the import division of Sulland Group. This debut follows a two-day showcase in Austria, where both the AION UT and the AION V were subjected to public and media scrutiny at Atelier 7121 and NILS am See.

Engineered for European preferences, the AION UT delivers 430 km of WLTP range and features a 14.6-inch infotainment system with smartphone integration. The vehicle earned a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating for 2026, bolstered by a suite of driver-assistance tools including adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping support. GAC’s infrastructure currently relies on a distributed model, utilizing design talent in Milan, assembly facilities in Austria, and logistics hubs in Rotterdam to support its expanding dealer network.
