Justin St-Maurice, a technical counselor at Info-Tech, warned that the modern impulse to store every AI interaction and session without a clear strategy creates significant corporate liability. He argued that archiving must shift from a passive collection process to a deliberate asset-management exercise. Without robust retention controls and e-discovery capabilities, organizations risk holding vast amounts of data that they can neither defend in court nor leverage for model training.
