Pylontech Shifts to Mass Production of High-Capacity LFP Cells

The new cells are engineered specifically for large-scale energy infrastructure, prioritizing safety, longevity, and efficiency. The 601Ah variant offers an energy density of 425.8Wh/L, a cycle life exceeding 12,000 cycles, and a reported energy efficiency of 96.5%. By increasing individual cell capacity, Pylontech intends to reduce the number of required interconnections within storage systems, leading to more compact designs and improved lifecycle economics.

These components are already being integrated into the company’s next-generation PyOcean energy storage systems, which feature 6.25MWh and 8MWh capacities. The production line in Hefei relies on 120 industrial robots and 180 sets of intelligent equipment to maintain a fully automated core process. A manufacturing execution system tracks data across the entire assembly, ensuring end-to-end traceability for every unit produced. Pylontech’s expansion follows a series of high-capacity project deliveries, including a 200MW/400MWh installation in Ningxia and a 120MW/240MWh facility in Yangzhou, reinforcing their footprint in both domestic and international markets.
