The hospital features six operating rooms and advanced diagnostic suites, including MRI and CT capabilities. To ensure the longevity of the structure, contractor Herc Gradnja utilized Penetron Admix within the massive 6,500-square-meter monolithic concrete roof slab. This crystalline technology integrates directly into the concrete matrix to block moisture, a critical upgrade over traditional surface-applied waterproofing for high-stakes medical environments.
Beyond technical specifications, the facility serves a vital role for residents of Trebinje and neighboring areas in Montenegro and Croatia. By centralizing specialized medical services, the hospital addresses long-standing regional gaps in care. According to Theodor Mentzikofakis of Penetron Hellas, the project sets a new benchmark for construction standards in Bosnia and Herzegovina, ensuring reliable performance for decades to come.
