Collette Health and VirtuAlly Merge Tech and Staffing for Virtual Care

Facing persistent staffing shortages and rising patient acuity, Noblesville-based Collette Health is joining forces with VirtuAlly to integrate experienced virtual nursing teams into hospital workflows. The partnership pairs Collette’s KLAS-winning virtual care platform with VirtuAlly’s clinical staff to handle admissions, discharges, and documentation remotely.

The collaboration aims to alleviate the mounting pressure on frontline bedside caregivers by offloading routine clinical tasks to a remote workforce. By embedding VirtuAlly’s experienced nurses directly into the existing digital infrastructure provided by Collette Health, hospitals can expand their capacity without the need for additional on-site recruitment. This model focuses on providing clinical judgment rather than simple remote monitoring, allowing nurses to perform patient education and documentation duties from a distance.

Collette Health CEO Holly Miller noted that the initiative addresses the critical scarcity of experienced nursing talent by scaling a platform already utilized by over 185 hospitals. VirtuAlly, an organization born from the Medical University of South Carolina, brings Joint Commission Accreditation to the partnership, ensuring that the remote support maintains the same clinical rigor found in traditional settings. The combined effort seeks to build a more sustainable care model that improves patient safety while directly supporting the retention of burned-out bedside staff.
