Debra Wein Joins National Safety Council Advisory Board

Debra Wein, founder and CEO of Boston-based Wellness Workdays, has been appointed to the Wellbeing and Safety Advisory Board at the National Safety Council. The move places the workplace health veteran at the center of the nonprofit’s national strategy to mitigate preventable injuries and foster holistic safety cultures across American industries.

Wein brings decades of experience in organizational health, focusing on the intersection of risk management and employee wellness. Her firm, Wellness Workdays, specializes in evidence-based programs for high-risk sectors like construction and manufacturing, as well as corporate environments. Claire Bryant, Senior Program Manager of Workplace Wellbeing at the NSC, noted that Wein’s expertise will be central to shaping people-centered strategies that address modern workplace risks.

Beyond her executive role, Wein maintains a broad portfolio as an educator and consultant. She has previously delivered health and performance strategies to organizations ranging from the U.S. Navy SEALs and Olympic coaching staffs to academic institutions like Harvard Business School and MIT. Her new position with the NSC is expected to further her advocacy for integrating mental health and injury prevention into the standard operational culture of the American workforce.
