Hall said he and his wife, Jill, and their five children have moved onto rural property in Arkansas but are living in a camper while they work to establish a home. In a GoFundMe post on Thursday, November 5, he cited overdue bills, materials needed to make their living arrangements functional and an unexpected electricity hookup fee. He also said the family was behind on phone and propane payments.
“Baby six is less than a month away, and I really need some help getting the last few things buttoned up beforehand,” Hall wrote. He set a $2,000 target for the campaign, titled “Helping the Hall-Barnetts Finish Before Baby Six.” By November 7, it had raised more than $9,000 through over 100 donations. Hall said he hoped to finish work on the property within two weeks and then take on employment before his wife gave birth.
The appeal drew criticism online, including comments that Hall should get a job and that he had chosen to have a large family. He replied to one critic: “Nah. I’m busy building a farm and feeding my family and community.” Hall also said he takes jobs frequently and had given up his acting ambitions to pursue a better life for his family. He thanked donors and urged people who could not contribute to share the campaign or pray for the family.
Hall left acting after saying the industry had become difficult to reconcile with his religious beliefs. In an April 2025 YouTube video, he said he loved acting and storytelling but remained firm in his decision to leave. He and Jill, who married in 2017, have four daughters and one son. Their family moved to an approximately 80-acre property near Mountain View, Arkansas, where they planned to build a home and live off-grid.
