Info-Tech Names 2026 Endpoint Detection and Response Champions

Six cybersecurity platforms have earned top honors in Info-Tech Research Group’s 2026 Data Quadrant report, with rankings derived exclusively from verified end-user feedback. The report highlights the shift toward tools that balance behavioral analytics with streamlined incident response workflows to secure modern, complex IT environments.

The identified leaders—ThreatDown EDR, CrowdStrike Falcon Platform, Acronis Cyber Platform, ThreatLocker, Palo Alto Cortex XDR, and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint—were selected based on a Composite Score that weighs feature quality, vendor support, and user satisfaction. ThreatDown EDR led the group with a 9.1 score, drawing praise for its blocklisting and allowlisting capabilities, followed closely by CrowdStrike at 9.0 for its behavioral analytics.

Other recognized platforms earned their positions through specific operational strengths: Acronis was noted for ease of implementation, while ThreatLocker stood out for its vendor support. Palo Alto and Microsoft each secured an 8.6 score, with both recognized for advanced detection features. According to Victor Okorie, an advisory director at Info-Tech, the market is currently prioritizing platforms that provide actionable context to help security teams neutralize threats before they escalate into larger breaches.
