The partnership focuses on expanding the availability of treatments across endocrinology, nephrology, and oncology. Through DiabTec, Mubadala Bio’s designated platform, the UAE will gain access to established therapies including epoetin alfa, filgrastim, interferon beta, and somatropin. This move serves the dual purpose of increasing patient access to critical biologic care and supporting the UAE’s broader initiative to bolster local pharmaceutical manufacturing capabilities.
Hamad Almarzooqi, Group Deputy CEO of Mubadala Bio, highlighted that the collaboration aims to localize essential medicines, directly supporting the nation’s healthcare providers. For Biosidus, the agreement marks a significant step in its international expansion strategy, reinforcing its role as a biotechnology supplier across global markets. Mariano de Elizalde, CEO of Biosidus, noted that the alliance aligns with the company’s long-standing focus on technology transfer and quality-driven patient care.
