Evo and Visa Form Multi-Year Partnership for Global Fighting Games

The Evolution Championship Series is aligning with global payments giant Visa through 2028 to integrate digital commerce into the world’s largest fighting game tournament. The deal, which kicks off at the Las Vegas Convention Center this week, promises to overhaul fan engagement and expand support for grassroots competitive play.

The collaboration debuts at Evo Las Vegas, running June 26–28, 2026, with a series of experiential activations. Highlights include the Friday Night Showdown, featuring high-profile exhibition matches between content creators Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp and Ludwig Ahgren, and a new hourly “Flash Tournament” program open to all onsite attendees. Visa cardholders will also receive exclusive merchandise discounts throughout the event.

Beyond immediate fan perks, the partnership aims to stabilize the ecosystem for emerging talent. Starting in 2027, the initiative will pivot toward community-focused support, reinvesting resources into local tournaments and rising competitors. Stuart Saw, CEO of RTS, which owns and operates Evo, emphasized that the integration is designed to provide tangible value to the global fighting game community rather than acting as a simple sponsorship. This year’s flagship tournament features 12 game titles and a guaranteed prize pool of at least $500,000, setting the stage for the company's continued expansion into international markets like France and Singapore.
