EBONY Spotlights 30 Black Male Artists in Gentlemen of Sound

Thirty Black male artists are taking center stage in the 2026 edition of STAMPED, an annual initiative from EBONY honoring the figures currently defining the music industry. Titled Gentlemen of Sound, the project celebrates the creative momentum of performers who are actively shaping cultural conversations this summer.

The curated list highlights a diverse array of talent, including Isaia Huron, Josh Levi, 4Batz, and Christone "Kingfish" Ingram. According to EBONY CEO Eden Bridgman, the platform aims to honor those who move culture beyond just creating music. The selection process was led by staffers Savannah Taylor and Kenyatta Victor, with biographical features provided by Wongo Okon to provide deep editorial context on each artist’s specific contributions to their respective genres.

The initiative officially launched on June 16, 2026, across EBONY.com and the publication's social media channels. The rollout features ongoing storytelling and collaborative content designed to emphasize the impact of these 30 artists. This year’s roster also includes Terrace Martin, Rema, WSTRN, and Mike Clark Jr., among others, reflecting a broad spectrum of innovation currently influencing the global soundscape.
