Blackbird Health Launches Pediatric Mental Health Clinic in Bala Cynwyd

Parents navigating the Main Line’s fragmented healthcare landscape have a new destination for pediatric support. Blackbird Health has opened a facility at 225 E. City Avenue, aiming to replace long waitlists and disjointed referrals with a centralized model for psychiatric evaluations, therapy, and school-based coordination.

The new 10th Pennsylvania location arrives as regional demand for specialized mental health services continues to climb. Dr. Michael Tang, Chief Medical Officer at Blackbird Health, notes that families often struggle to bridge the gap between identifying behavioral challenges and securing actionable treatment. By integrating medication management, executive function coaching, and parent support under one roof, the clinic seeks to provide a comprehensive diagnostic environment for issues ranging from ADHD and autism spectrum disorder to anxiety and learning differences.

Collaboration remains the operational core of the expansion. The clinic has already established a referral partnership with Philadelphia Health Associates Pediatrics, a practice serving the region for over twenty years. This network-based strategy intends to link mental health clinicians directly with educators and primary care doctors, ensuring that treatment plans account for a child’s performance across home and school environments. With this opening, Blackbird Health now operates 13 sites across the Mid-Atlantic, all accepting most major insurance plans to facilitate broader access to care.
