The $1 million contribution, awarded by Prairies Economic Development Canada, marks a significant boost for the manufacturer of portable NMR spectrometers. The capital is earmarked for strengthening global market reach and supply chain resilience, according to federal officials.
Beyond the funding, Nanalysis is deepening its footprint in the medical imaging sector. The company has expanded its collaboration with IMRIS Imaging, moving beyond a supplier relationship to provide electronics and software modules for high-field NMR solutions. Concurrently, its partnership with Germany-based NVision sees the deployment of Nanalysis technology to verify performance for the POLARIS metabolic imaging platform.
Internal corporate shifts accompany these strategic gains. Directors Jonathan Ladd and Werner Maas signaled their commitment to the firm by completing a $132,500 private placement. Meanwhile, Heather Kury, who previously served as interim finance lead, has been named permanent Chief Financial Officer. These developments follow a period of growth for the firm’s service division, which remains anchored by a long-term $160 million maintenance contract with the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority.
