Since taking the helm in 2011, Ford has guided the organization through a period of substantial transformation, growing its reach to nearly 123,000 members and managing assets exceeding $1.4 billion. Michael M. White, chairman of the 12th Annual Women of Achievement tribute, cited her humility and vision as key drivers behind her selection for the award.
Beyond institutional growth, Ford has prioritized a community-first strategy, forging partnerships with local schools, nonprofits, and professional sports organizations. Her approach emphasizes financial literacy and youth initiatives, which she views as a personal responsibility to pay forward. During her acceptance, Ford noted that her own career trajectory was built on the support of others, and she now dedicates her time to creating similar opportunities for those in the community. Outside of her executive role, she maintains an active presence on several boards, including Michigan Medicine and Ann Arbor SPARK, while continuing her volunteer work.
