Tamworth Co-op enters q-commerce market with Snappy Shopper partnership

Tamworth Co-operative Society is moving into rapid grocery delivery with the launch of Tamworth Delivered, a new service promising orders in as little as 30 minutes. By utilizing Snappy Shopper’s white-label technology, the retailer aims to bridge the gap between digital convenience and the traditional in-store shopping experience.

The platform integrates digital ordering, store-level fulfillment, and local delivery logistics, supported by Nash’s delivery network. Unlike third-party aggregators, this proprietary system allows the Co-op to maintain direct control over customer relationships, ensuring that local promotions and member-specific value offers remain visible throughout the digital journey.

Greg Deacon, Vice President at Snappy Shopper, noted that the focus of q-commerce has shifted beyond simple speed toward providing shoppers with greater flexibility. For Tamworth Co-op, the goal is to drive digital sales and increase basket sizes while keeping the local store at the center of the operation. CEO Dan Welsh described the launch as a necessary evolution, emphasizing that the service is designed to bring the convenience of local brick-and-mortar stores directly to the customer’s doorstep.
