The Bucharest launch is part of a broader acceleration in the EMEA region, which will see eight new store openings within a six-week window ending in mid-June. This rapid expansion relies heavily on local franchise partners; while Arion Retail Group manages the Romanian and Greek operations, Fiba Retail is spearheading growth in Turkey, including two upcoming locations in Istanbul and a presence in Yalikavak Marina.
Sarah Clark, Senior Vice President for EMEA, highlighted that the company views Bucharest as a high-potential hub for wellness and fitness culture. The brand now operates across 23 markets in the region through a combination of company-owned boutiques and franchise outlets. Following the Romanian debut, Lululemon intends to enter Austria with a Vienna storefront this summer, with further expansion into India scheduled for later this year.
