The transition replaces an aging system that struggled to keep pace with the brand's evolving inventory, which now includes electric, titanium, and large-wheel models. By consolidating wholesale and direct-to-consumer operations onto a single platform, Brompton aims to provide its 1,000-plus retail partners with a more intuitive ordering experience that mirrors the quality of its consumer-facing site.
Oliver Boardman, CTO at Brompton, noted that the project was a collaborative effort involving internal teams and AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery. The portal is currently live in Germany and Austria, with a wider rollout across the UK and other European markets scheduled for this month. Full global implementation, including localized versions for the US, Japan, China, and Singapore, is expected by the spring.
