Morrisons has tapped Logile to overhaul its store workload planning, replacing manual spreadsheets with automated intelligence across its supermarket and logistics network. The move aims to optimize staff placement and reduce administrative overhead. Simultaneously, Vestiaire Collective has become the first luxury resale platform to standardize listing photos using Photoroom’s AI. Testing revealed that AI-edited images increased sales liquidity by 5% while maintaining the product fidelity required for authentication.
Automation also remains a primary focus for investors. Duvo, the platform founded by Rohlik’s Tomáš Čupr, secured $32 million in Series A funding to expand its AI-driven workforce solutions for retailers and CPG companies. The investment brings the company's total funding to $48 million, fueling a strategy that emphasizes increasing employee productivity rather than simple headcount reduction.
Infrastructure upgrades are mirroring these software shifts. Frasers Group has successfully deployed a Microsoft Dynamics 365 warehouse management system at its Antrim site in Northern Ireland. This rollout represents the initial stage of a broader transformation intended to create a scalable, consistent operating platform across the group’s various brands. Meanwhile, leadership changes continue to shape the sector, with Kingfisher appointing former OBI CEO Sebastian Gundel to lead the company starting February 2027.
