The expansion marks the fourth and fifth site deployments for the company, which has already established a footprint at Molloy University and various manufacturing facilities in New Jersey and Connecticut. Beyond the current rollouts, Primepick is preparing to install additional units in Huntsville, Chicago, and Dallas. The platform is designed for versatility, with configurations holding between 90 and 285 meals to match specific location requirements.
Inside each kiosk, two robotic arms manage the transit of meals between -18C frozen storage, three industrial microwave ovens, and a 30-minute heated holding cabinet. According to CEO Dmitry Vilbaum, the system functions as a marketplace for local eateries and dark kitchens. The company’s proprietary software handles the inventory, which requires no fixed planogram, as the machine autonomously tracks its stock. The system also manages telemetry and diagnostic alerts, ensuring maintenance is addressed before service is interrupted. Customers interact with the kiosks via direct ordering, an app, or web interfaces, with nutrition and allergen information provided for every menu item.
