The actor, known for his role as Toby Cavanaugh, posted an image of his stitched forehead on Instagram following the assault outside Laurel Supply. Allen, who was evaluated by Los Angeles County Fire personnel at the scene before seeking further medical attention, described the incident as a harrowing trade-off: "My life for a watch." He has since expressed growing concern regarding public safety, explicitly calling out Governor Gavin Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass on social media.
Allen challenged the utility of Flock license-plate cameras, which have been deployed across the region as a crime-deterrence measure. While the Mayor’s office condemned the attack and confirmed LAPD involvement, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has not specified whether these surveillance tools will aid in identifying the suspects. In response to the surge in local violence, the Sheriff’s Office announced an immediate increase in deputy patrols throughout West Hollywood, particularly within the Rainbow District.
