To support this transition, UPG has secured debtor-in-possession financing from Firehorse Capital LLC, pending court approval.
Operations at UPG’s international branches and its UPG Electrical subsidiary remain untouched by the proceedings. Meanwhile, the company has submitted "First Day" motions to ensure employees receive wages and benefits without interruption. Management intends to conclude the sale process within the next 60 days, utilizing Section 363 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code to solicit the highest offers for its North American footprint.
