Faye Ann Brenner Named to Pinnacle Professional Inner Circle

Brenner’s transition into directing was shaped by an unconventional "film school": direct collaboration with industry titans including Sidney Lumet, Rob Reiner, and Ivan Reitman. This hands-on experience refined her ability to bridge visual and emotional sensibilities, a skill she applied to her 2022 direction of an episode of the series The Rookie. Beyond television, her creative output includes the award-winning short film Promises and a forthcoming documentary, Charting New Courses, which focuses on women who sail.

Her creative process is rooted in her academic background in vocal arts from the University of Southern California, which she utilizes to bring rhythm and nuance to her projects across film, theater, and commercial work. An active advocate for industry inclusion, Brenner holds memberships with the Directors Guild of America’s Women’s Steering Committee and the Alliance of Women Directors. She continues to lecture at the collegiate level, aiming to expand opportunities for women and underrepresented groups while developing new narrative projects.
