For many firms, tracking revenue remains a manual slog across disjointed spreadsheets, email threads, and disparate bank feeds. Finance teams are frequently forced to reconcile transactions by hand, a bottleneck that leaves 43% of U.S. B2B invoices overdue. By integrating directly with QuickBooks Online and NetSuite, Ramp’s new offering aims to centralize this lifecycle. The software uses AI to parse contracts and purchase orders into ready-to-review invoices, while automating follow-up communications based on a company's specific collections policy.
This shift represents a strategic pivot for the company, which has historically focused on controlling corporate spending. Geoff Charles, Chief Product Officer at Ramp, noted that chasing outstanding invoices has been a primary pain point for their user base. Early adopters like SciComm Media report that the automation has effectively eliminated the back-and-forth email chains previously required to resolve payment discrepancies. With over 70,000 organizations already utilizing its platform, Ramp is positioning this tool as a necessary component for businesses grappling with volatile cash flow and the rising cost of operating expenses.
