The push for higher protein intake aligns with a broader shift in consumer wellness priorities. According to Life Time’s latest annual survey, 42.3% of respondents named physical strength as their primary health goal for 2026, while 46.5% indicated plans to increase their weightlifting frequency. This trend has prompted the company to formalize its nutritional guidance through the upcoming 30 Strong Challenge, which begins October 5.
"Strength training creates the opportunity; protein helps your body do something with it," said Christ. The program emphasizes whole-food sources, such as chicken breast, steak, eggs, cottage cheese, or extra-firm tofu, to reach the 30-gram target. For members needing convenience, the company also promotes its LTH protein supplement line. The challenge, which drew 66,000 participants in 2025, integrates this nutrition goal with daily lifestyle habits, including consistent sleep, hydration, and physical activity, to help members maintain momentum as they move into the winter months.
