The program marks a significant ramp-up in activity for the Toronto-based miner, which recently consolidated its holdings by incorporating the Evelina property into the broader Taguas project. The company plans to execute 19,500 meters of drilling, split between infill work to upgrade oxide resources to Measured and Indicated categories and deep exploration targeting copper-gold porphyry systems.
Beyond the drill bit, Orvana is prioritizing structural mapping and an expanded geophysical survey. By integrating Magnetotelluric and Induced Polarization data across both the original Taguas site and the Evelina acquisition, management aims to refine its geological model to depths exceeding 1.5 kilometers. Orvana CEO Juan Gavidia noted that the strategy reflects a commitment to seizing tactical opportunities in the current market. Company representatives are scheduled to detail these plans at the Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek and the Mining Forum Americas in Colorado Springs later this month.
