The redemption price is set at 100% of the principal amount, supplemented by accrued and unpaid interest up to the September 4 cutoff. This decision aligns with the Kingsey Falls-based manufacturer’s long-term capital allocation strategy. The company, which operates 60 facilities across North America, intends to cover the payout through available cash reserves rather than new financing.
Following this transaction, the total remaining liability for the 5.375% notes will drop to roughly US$345 million. While the company maintains a robust portfolio of packaging and hygiene products, management noted that future financial performance remains subject to external pressures, including fluctuations in raw material costs and shifting market demand.
