The IES unit centralizes data, domain expertise, and AI infrastructure to support the full engineering lifecycle. At the core of this operation is CYiNGINE, a platform that integrates industrial data with LLM stacks to automate design, service, and quality processes. According to Sukamal Banerjee, Cyient's Executive Director and CEO, the initiative prioritizes tangible business results over abstract AI adoption, focusing on how technology changes the way products are designed, manufactured, and serviced.
Harjott Atrii, Chief Business Officer, will lead the new division. The unit operates through three primary AI-enabled playbooks targeting engineering efficiency, predictive maintenance, and audit-ready regulatory traceability. By moving technology into a single execution layer, the company intends to standardize how it delivers value across sectors including aerospace, healthcare, and energy. This structural shift marks a strategic push to deepen client integration by offering outcome-based engagements rather than individual service contracts.
