ASSA ABLOY Expands Entrance Security with Gunnebo Acquisition

Gunnebo Entrance Control, which employs approximately 670 people and maintains manufacturing sites across Europe, the US, and Asia, will integrate into the Pedestrian business segment of ASSA ABLOY’s Entrance Systems Division. The company, headquartered in Maresfield, UK, reported sales of 151 million euros for 2025. While the acquisition is expected to have a minor initial dilutive effect on earnings per share, leadership at ASSA ABLOY views the move as a strategic enhancement of their current security offerings.

Nico Delvaux, President and CEO of ASSA ABLOY, stated that the acquisition aligns with the firm’s strategy to integrate complementary products into its core business. Massimo Grassi, head of the Entrance Systems Division, noted that the addition of Gunnebo’s industry expertise will improve the company's ability to provide efficient and reliable entrance solutions globally. Finalization of the transaction remains subject to regulatory approval and standard closing conditions, with the parties targeting completion during the fourth quarter of 2026.
