Sports Facilities Companies Targets 10 Venue Launches Across Eight States

The upcoming slate of activity features the Ontario Sports Empire in California, which is slated for an October opening as the largest mixed-use sports facility west of the Rocky Mountains. Spanning 200 acres, the project includes 20 multipurpose fields alongside specialized diamond fields for youth and championship play. In Illinois, the Wintrust Sports Complex near Chicago is preparing for a late-fall expansion, adding a dedicated practice facility for the Chicago Sky as part of a $38 million growth project.

Additional highlights include the August 14 opening of the Artesia Recreation Center in New Mexico and the September 10 debut of the Paducah Sports Park in Kentucky. Pennsylvania will see the opening of the U.S. Steel Community Field in Pittsburgh and the Overlook Golf Course in Manheim Township. Furthermore, SFC has expanded its municipal footprint by partnering with Hartselle Parks and Recreation in Alabama, while completing recent upgrades at the Pelican Bay Aquatic Center in Oklahoma and the Shafter Aquatics Center in California. These venues aim to provide sustainable operations for local residents and regional tournament organizers, culminating in the national Sports Facilities Conference scheduled for December in St. Pete Beach, Florida.
