The collaboration serves as a tribute to the deep-rooted friendship between Jusu Bah and Schröder, who both rose through the ranks of the Gothenburg football scene. The design mirrors the matching tattoos the duo received three years ago, symbolizing their personal bond and the contrasting strengths they bring to the game. The ombre-style jerseys are finished with gold accents, intended to inspire the youth participants arriving from 15 different countries this summer.
Beyond the aesthetics, the project highlights the ongoing mission of the Meet the World initiative. By hosting qualifying events in various nations, SKF aims to facilitate international exchange and provide young players with a pathway to the Gothia Cup, the world’s largest youth tournament. According to SKF President and CEO Rickard Gustafson, the initiative focuses on fostering lifelong connections through sport. This year’s tournament, scheduled for July 13–19 in Gothenburg, will host nearly 2,000 teams, including specialized squads from the Special Olympics programs in India, France, and Italy.
