The collaboration centers on an educational program developed by the Casey Visual Field Reading Center, which draws on 40 years of experience with perimetry devices. By integrating the precision of the Octopus 900 perimeter with specialized training modules, the program intends to improve diagnostic accuracy for conditions ranging from glaucoma to complex retinal and neurological disorders. Participants will receive instruction in both static and kinetic perimetry, with guidance extending to the design of testing protocols for clinical and research applications.
Andrew Jones, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Haag-Streit USA, emphasized that the partnership moves beyond equipment supply to ensure clinicians can maximize the diagnostic potential of their tools. Dr. Shobana Aravind, director of the Casey Visual Field Reading Center, noted that combining institutional clinical leadership with high-end technology creates an environment where improved training directly translates to earlier, more accurate patient diagnoses.
