NIL Club Partners with BetterHelp to Support Student-Athlete Mental Health

Between rigorous practice schedules, academic responsibilities, and the transition to independent life, student-athletes often face a unique, compounding set of pressures. To address this, the platform NIL Club has launched a partnership with BetterHelp, offering its users a 20 percent discount on licensed online therapy services.

The collaboration aims to remove logistical hurdles for athletes who struggle to find time for traditional in-office appointments. By providing access to therapists via message, phone, or video, BetterHelp allows participants to integrate mental health support into their existing routines without the need for travel or long wait times. NIL Club CEO Mick Assaf noted that seeking support should not be an additional obstacle for students already managing demanding athletic and academic lives.

This initiative aligns with the platform’s broader mission to provide resources beyond financial earnings. By normalizing mental health care through its existing digital infrastructure, NIL Club intends to reduce the stigma that frequently prevents athletes from seeking professional assistance. The discount is now available directly through the NIL Club app, ensuring that resources remain discreet and accessible regardless of an athlete's location during the competitive season.
