By utilizing a common power conversion system, Ampera allows customers to deploy immediate, reliable power while maintaining a technical pathway for future subcritical microreactor integration. This approach effectively lowers deployment risks for industries grappling with the massive power requirements of modern artificial intelligence infrastructure.
Brian Matthews, Founder and CEO of Ampera, emphasized that the initiative is designed to accelerate the timeline for clean energy adoption rather than waiting for future technologies to mature. "The world cannot wait for the future of energy—it needs more power today," Matthews stated. The system, which incorporates AI-driven digital engineering through the company's NeuralTwin initiative, aims to improve optimization and lifecycle management as it scales. Initial configurations are set to provide up to 30 MWe of power, with the first customer deployments scheduled to begin before the end of 2027.
