First Horizon, which holds $84.1 billion in assets as of March 2026, views this shift as a means to sustain momentum in its fast-growing East Tennessee footprint. The bank, headquartered in Memphis, currently operates across 12 southern states, offering a broad suite of services ranging from wealth management to commercial lending.
