The foundation, established with an initial $2 million commitment, emphasizes values-based leadership and community building. Beyond tuition support, the program requires participants to attend an annual symposium focused on personal growth and professional networking. This year’s cohort includes Jack Morrison, Samuel Robbins, Wesley Trundy, Jordin Mann, Lucas Ladd, Lily Alley, Alexander Donahue, Charlotte Stanley, Ciara Trundy, and Alexander Figueroa-Flores.
Andy Silvernail, who serves as chairman and CEO of International Paper, noted that the foundation’s goal remains rooted in the belief that talent is not dictated by geography. In July, the new recipients will join cohorts from 2023 through 2025 at a symposium in Blue Hill to connect with mentors and advisory council members. Shelby Silvernail emphasized that providing mentorship and opportunity is intended to mirror the support they once received, creating a lasting impact on the students' academic and career trajectories.
