The two solar facilities, slated for completion in late 2027, represent a combined investment into the ERCOT market. Beyond energy generation, the projects are projected to generate over $30 million in property tax revenue for local taxing entities while supporting more than 600 construction jobs.
Tolga Kaan Doğancıoğlu, Strategic Investments and Operations President at Sabanci Group, described the agreement as a strategic milestone in the company’s U.S. journey, emphasizing a focus on building durable partnerships with large-scale corporate off-takers. Amanda Yang, head of clean energy at Meta, noted that the collaboration aligns with the company’s need to bring meaningful new renewable resources online to support its data center operations. This partnership signals a shift toward long-term contracted investments, as developers aim to meet the rising electricity demands of digital infrastructure in the United States.
