Anjuna Debuts Confidential Control Plane for Autonomous AI Agents

Autonomous AI agents operate at machine speed, often bypassing traditional security protocols and creating risks that human oversight cannot catch. To bridge this gap, Palo Alto-based Anjuna Security has unveiled Anjuna Overwatch, a governance layer designed to secure agentic systems using hardware-enforced confidential computing.

The platform functions as an incorruptible control layer, ensuring that AI agents adhere to strict organizational policies while accessing sensitive data. By running inside a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) powered by Anjuna’s Seaglass technology, the system provides a verifiable environment that remains secure even if the underlying infrastructure is compromised. This allows enterprises to deploy agents across cloud and air-gapped on-premises environments with granular visibility into tool usage and decision-making.

"As enterprises deploy and scale autonomous AI agents across their most sensitive infrastructure, two questions become critical: Can you trust what the agent is doing? And can you trust the control layer that governs it?" said Ayal Yogev, CEO of Anjuna Security. Troy Leach, Chief Strategy Officer at the Cloud Security Alliance, noted that while traditional controls remain vital, the shift toward delegated authority requires a new approach to accountability. Anjuna is currently seeking partners in regulated sectors, such as finance and government, to participate in an early feedback phase for the solution.
