The program targets the dangerous window between 5 PM on July 4 and 10 AM on July 5. To participate, residents aged 21 and older must submit their receipt and photo identification through the firm’s website within 10 business days. The firm will issue reimbursement checks for up to $35, including a 10% tip, for a single one-way trip within the greater Houston area. Participation is capped at the first 30 qualifying submissions.
Catherine Beeny, Director of Marketing at the firm, stated the program aims to remove financial barriers that often prevent people from choosing safer transportation alternatives after drinking. As personal injury attorneys, the partners at Armstrong Lee & Baker LLP view the project as an extension of their professional commitment to accident prevention. By subsidizing transport, they hope to mitigate the surge in impaired driving that historically plagues the holiday weekend.
