Engineered at the company’s European Research & Development Centre in Hannover, the GitiSynergy H3 focuses on balancing environmental efficiency with vehicle dynamics. The tire achieves an A-grade EU label rating for rolling resistance while incorporating aerodynamic sidewall geometry to minimize energy consumption. Testing for the project took place at the MIRA facility in the UK alongside specialized proving grounds in Germany and Spain, utilizing the firm’s proprietary AdvanZtech R&D system.
Nicolas Kluson, Key Account Manager for Europe OE, noted that the BMW Group required a specific synergy between low rolling resistance and precise handling. This contract follows previous Giti Tire collaborations with the manufacturer, including fitments for the BMW 1 Series and MINI models. The latest supply agreement underscores a shift in manufacturer priorities where sustainability credentials now carry as much weight as traditional performance metrics.
