Chongqing Symposium Explores Chinese Modernization for Global South

The event, themed "Advancing Modernization Together, Building a Shared Future," moved beyond theoretical debate by grounding discussions in Chongqing's recent industrial evolution. Prior to the formal sessions, international delegates toured the city’s digital manufacturing hubs, logistics centers, and urban renewal projects, such as the redevelopment of Minzhu Village in the Jiulongpo District, to observe the practical application of these development strategies.

During the keynote session and subsequent roundtables, participants examined the intersection of green energy transitions and urban governance. Experts specifically focused on the relevance of these frameworks for Latin American and Central European nations, aiming to bridge the gap between high-level development consensus and localized implementation. The symposium also saw the launch of an international observation initiative titled "Global Vision" and the formation of a permanent Expert Committee dedicated to ongoing research into the Chinese development path.
