The company’s research efforts yielded a full-chain path for automotive chips, resulting in the launch of the HYPTEC GT Special Edition, the first intelligent connected vehicle built entirely with domestic silicon. This project, which involved 105 partners, successfully integrated nearly 400 distinct chip models into production environments.
In the electric drive sector, GAC achieved a world-first by mass-producing motors featuring amorphous alloy stators and carbon-fiber rotors. These components, characterized by ribbons only 0.025 mm thick, deliver a peak efficiency of 99.03% and a power density of 17.29 kW/kg. The technology, which also earned a Gold Medal at the 51st International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva, has already been deployed across the HYPTEC, AION, and AISTALAND brands, extending vehicle range by up to 50 kilometers.
Safety innovation remained a focal point of the firm's award-winning portfolio. Collaborating with Tsinghua University, GAC developed a domestic ASIL-D safety controller and a comprehensive emergency response model. These systems are now active in over 1.44 million vehicles. Complementing this, the company implemented an AI-driven body design system that reduces concept generation time to under five hours while maintaining 95% accuracy in stiffness forecasting, a tool already utilized in the development of the GAC GS8 and ES9.
